LEICESTERSHIRE ROAD CLUB HILLY 25 MILE TIME TRIAL

1. Matt Bottrill, Bournemouth Jubilee - 1hr 17 mins 3 secs
2. Ashley Long, Lutterworth Cycle Centre - 1hr 20 mins 6 secs
3. Geoff Platts, Team Clean - 1hr 20 mins 42 secs

Team Lutterworth Cycle Centre was well represented in the Leicestershire Road Club Hilly 25 mile time trial which was held over an extended course to miss the areas that are currently being effected by foot and mouth disease. Leicestershire Road Club are to be congratulated for a well run, well organised and well marshalled event and once again Dave Binks had a good number of entrants and most of the field started on a dry but cold April morning.

Some good early times were posted but the days fastest was an exceptional ride by Matt Bottrill with 1hr 17 mins 3 seconds to take the win from our own Ashley Long who completed the course in 1hr 20 mins 6 seconds for a very respectable second place. Third place went to Geoff Platts in 1hr 20 mins 42 seconds while fourth place went to the ex Cambridge University rider, Duncan Alexander.

Jim Silver [Lutterworth Cycle Centre] had a good outing with a respectable 1hr 30 minute ride. Our third team member, Malc Moore, had entered the event but as with many riders did not start due to illness.
