Held on an undulating course over two laps of ten and a half miles on an atrocious day when heavy rain persisted throughout we put out two teams to contest this event held around the Oxton area of Nottinghamshire.

This again proved to be an eventful race as both our teams were sent in the wrong direction by marshalls! Ashley and Russell were sent the wrong way at an island and were proceeding at a pace when they realised they were going the wrong way. An about turn saw them back on course and despite the loss of time and concentration they managed to produce a terrific result for the team coming home first. This reversed the result of the previous week in The Leicestershire Road Clubs 4 up T.T.T. and they relegated Team Bradgate into second place.

Our other team of Clint Hurst and his younger brother Luke also took a sojourn off course and finished with a creditable time of 57 minutes 10 seconds. Clint was giving first year junior Luke some really serious training during this event which should stand him in good stead in future events with his peers!

A composite team of Kevin Dawson [Peter Read Racing - Cayhill] and John Tanner [Pro Vision Ribble] produced the fastest time of the day with 45 minutes 40 seconds.
